School Principal – Martina Blake

Martina Blake is a Bachelor of Education graduate of Mary Immaculate College, Limerick.  She began her teaching career in De La Salle Primary School, Ballyfermot, Dublin, where she spent two years.  She then taught for three years in St Cronan’s S.N.S, Swords.  In 2005 Martina was awarded a Masters in Education from St. Patrick’s College, Drumcondra.  Martina became principal of Inch NS in 2006 and teaches 4th, 5th and 6th classes.  Under Martina’s leadership the school strives to maintain a happy, educational environment for the children, one which provides opportunity for each pupil to develop to his/her full potential.


Deputy Principal – Áine Guilfoyle

Áine Guilfoyle is also our infant teacher. Áine is from Templetuohy and qualified from Mary Immaculate College in 2001. She has taught previously in Sacred Heart Primary School in Portlaoise where she taught first class and Learning Support. Áine plays the guitar and ladies football in her spare time and her teaching passions include music and PE. Áine also gives after school guitar lessons twice weekly at Inch NS.


Helen Lane – Teacher

Helen Lane is from Nenagh and is currently the class teacher for first, second and third classes. Having initially acquired a Bachelor of Journalism Degree from Dublin City University, she worked for Independent Newspapers. In 2003 she completed the Graduate Diploma in Primary Education in Mary Immaculate College and taught in JFK Memorial school, Limerick, before joining the staff at Inch National School in 2005 as a Learning Support Teacher. She was awarded a Graduate Diploma in Special Education Needs from Mary Immaculate College in 2010 and has a particular interest in literacy development, special education and maths.


Marie Hassett – Learning Support Teacher

Our current Learning Support Teacher is Marie Hassett, a Kerry native originally from Moyvane has been teaching in Inch NS since March 2000. Having qualified from Mary Immaculate College in 1990 she went on to teach in Darndale Junior School and St Mark’s Junior and Senior schools in Tallaght and St Louis’ Rathmines. Marie is a member of Inch Drama players and enjoys singing and gardening in her spare time.


Angela butler – Special Needs Assistant

Angela Butler is our Special Needs Assistant and is the school’s longest serving staff member-so if you need to know something about the school-ask Angela! Angela hails from Borrisoleigh and has been a Special Needs Assistant in Inch NS for 13 years.


Mary Everard – School Secretary

Mary Everard is our school secretary and works part-time in the school three days a week. Mary is from Inch itself and is a past parent of the school. Mary has been with us since 2006.
